What is the impact of returning reprocessed oil to the tower on diesel pour point? What are the factors that affect the diesel freezing point in a distillation unit?
Both the amount of reprocessed oil returned to the tower and the temperature of that return flow have an impact on the dew point of diesel. A larger amount of oil returned to the tower along with a lower return temperature result in lighter diesel components and a lower dew point. The opposite is true. Factors affecting diesel pour point: the amount of material returning to the tower in stage one and the temperature of that return; the amount of richly absorbed oil returning to the tower and the temperature of that return; the heat removal load associated with the reprocessed oil in stage two; the amount of crude gasoline extracted; the pressure inside the distillation tower; the temperature at the bottom of the fractionation tower; and the degree of reaction.
When the amount of oil returning to the distillation column is too large, the diesel yield will definitely be low. There are many factors that affect the diesel freezing point, such as column pressure, top circulation flow and temperature, mid-section return flow and temperature, slurry return flow, and so on.
