What does HV valve specifically mean in methanol washing?

The valve for controlling the amount of methanol injected is denoted by HV; it comes in automatic and manual versions. Why isn’t it denoted by FV? Dear sea friends, please help me understand. I’m a beginner, so please forgive me.
HV refers to a manually controlled control valve! Using FV denotes the control valve in the flow regulation circuit
It means manually changing the valve opening, rather than automatically adjusting it based on flow rate or liquid level, etc.
HV refers to a remotely manually controlled valve that cannot be adjusted automatically; whereas FV is a flow control valve

H means manual, and V means valve
