What major should an instrumentation technician apply for to become an assistant engineer?

I have been working for over three years now, and I suddenly remembered that I need to apply for the position of assistant engineer. I studied electrical engineering and automation, with a focus on instrumentation. So, what field should I specify when applying for the position of assistant engineer? Is it the automation instrumentation major or something else?
Instrument technicians are skilled workers; the vocational skill levels include junior instrument technicians, intermediate instrument technicians, senior instrument technicians, and technicians of level 1 and 2. Engineers, on the other hand, belong to the professional technical category and are classified as technicians, assistant engineers, engineers, and senior engineers. If you choose this path, you should apply for a position in the engineering field.

For those with a secondary vocational education degree, it seems that 4 years of work experience is sufficient to qualify for a junior professional title (assistant engineer); this is how the China Iron and Steel Association determines such titles.
Isn’t it evaluated directly, after one year of work at the undergraduate level?
If the factory doesn’t pay attention to instruments, does **not pay attention to them either? There’s nothing to test in order to get a certificate
