Several issues regarding the probation period

How can an employer prove during the probation period that an employee is not suitable for the new position? I encountered such a situation recently: the company decided to dismiss an employee who was still on probation, without any valid reason, even though everyone could see the quality of work that person was doing. There are no issues with skills or attitude; it’s just that one big shot doesn’t like them!
It seems that the employer needs to provide some proof showing that the employee is not suitable for the position~~~
What kind of company, what kind of attitude. It’s better to leave such a company as soon as possible.
