Has the plate heat exchanger been checked? Have you checked the water mist capturer and the acid gas capturer?
How high can your excess amount be? It’s hard to determine what’s wrong without this :)
Has the interior of the 3-stage drying tower been inspected? Is the sulfuric acid distributor functioning properly, and are the packing materials in good condition?

Perhaps there is no problem with the drying system; it would be advisable to pressurize the chlorine pipeline from the drying unit to the chlorine compressor after the plant is shut down. It’s possible that there are leaks in this chlorine pipeline or in the negative pressure system, which leads to moisture absorption and an increase in the water content in the chlorine
When does the chlorine content exceed the specified limit, by how much? Every step of the process control needs to be carefully checked and ensured. Are you using Monsanto’s mist eliminators?
Original poster, it’s not meant for everyone – I work in the chlorine treatment department and would like to share some thoughts. Everyone has come up with good ideas, but it’s necessary to identify the root causes. I think it boils down to a few issues: problems with the drying tower and the temperature of the circulating acid
I’ve checked everything except for packed towers and bubble columns---
