Article 11: Any citizen of the People’s Republic of China who abides by relevant laws and regulations and meets one of the following conditions may apply to take the examination for professional qualification as a registered safety engineer: (1) Having obtained a secondary vocational education degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, and having worked in safety-related fields for at least 7 years； Or possess an equivalent secondary vocational education in another field, with at least 9 years of experience in work related to safety production. 　　(II) Hold an associate degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, and have at least 5 years of experience in work related to safe production ； Or hold an associate degree from another specialized university, with at least 7 years of experience in work related to safe production. 　　(III) Hold a bachelor’s degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, and have at least 3 years of experience in work related to safe production ； Or hold a bachelor’s degree from another specialized university, with at least 5 years of experience in work related to safe production. 　　(IV) Hold a second bachelor’s degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, or have graduated from a postgraduate program, and have at least 2 years of experience in work related to safe production ； Or have obtained a second bachelor’s degree in another field or graduated from a graduate program, with at least 3 years of experience in work related to safe production. 　　(5) Hold a master’s degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, and have at least 1 year of experience in work related to safe production ； Or hold another professional master’s degree and have at least 2 years of experience in work related to safe production. 　　(VI) Obtain a doctoral degree in safety engineering or engineering economics ； Or hold a degree from another professional field, with at least 1 year of experience in work related to safe production.
