There is a filter behind the pump; sometimes the pressure of the pump and that of the filter are too low, yet the material can still be pumped out. Why is that? The pressure in the pump is often high while the pressure in the filter is low, which prevents the material from being pumped out. What should I do? I appreciate your guidance.
Both the pump and the filter have low pressures, but material can still be discharged, which indicates that the filter is not clogged. However, the inlet to the pump is not receiving sufficient feed; in other words, the pump does not get enough material to operate properly, and this is harmful to the pump as well as the mechanical seal. This issue needs to be resolved promptly; If the pump pressure is high while the filter pressure is low, it must be that the filter is clogged; it needs to be taken apart for cleaning or a replacement filter should be used.
