Local production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) equipment

What are everyone’s opinions regarding the localization of equipment in LNG plants, such as compressor systems, cryogenic valves, LNG storage tanks, LNG pumps, control valves, and instruments? Is this approach effective? For those that are already in operation, how is their performance? What aspects still need improvement?
It’s an old post. I’ll dig the grave, because I want to know too.
