After the CS3000 has been shut down for an extended period of time, it fails to display any data when turned on; everything that appears are asterisks. What’s going on???
There are probably no programs left in the control station, so the programs need to be re-downloaded through the engineer station.
It might be due to a loss of communication with the control station; the programs in the control station can remain functional for 5 or 6 years even in the event of a power outage, thanks to the backup batteries. Check the communication issue again!

No communication, ping the host
Check whether the NODE communication is working properly, and also check if the communication with FCS is fine. Reload the program
1. If there is a communication fault in the ABB system, it will display ?????? or 纟 XXXXX. The user can consider two aspects: First, check whether the communication is functioning properly Second, redownload the program!
Turn off the controller and restart it, then reinstall the control station on the engineer station and everything will be fine. We have encountered this problem as well
HIS needs to upload the COM items and Tag-list again; it’s better to first upload the COM items for the entire project before carrying out the above operations
We have also encountered this issue; first, check whether the FCS is connected properly. If it is marked with an asterisk, it may be due to data loss, and the program needs to be downloaded again. If this is fine but HIS shows an asterisk, then there is likely a problem with the network cable.
