Spring-type: When liquid flows from bottom to top, the pressure pushes up the valve disc controlled by the spring; once the pressure disappears, the spring force pushes the valve disc back down, preventing the liquid from flowing backward. It is commonly used in check valves with small passages. 2. Gravity type: Similar to the spring type, it relies on the weight of the valve disc itself to close and prevent backflow. 3. Swing type: The liquid flows directly through the valve body; the rotating valve disc on one side is pushed open by pressure. When the pressure is removed, the disc returns to its original position due to its own weight, while the reverse liquid pressure keeps the disc closed. The principles of other check valves, such as those used for waste discharge, explosion-proof valves in civil defense applications, and check valves for liquids, are more or less the same.

For flanged connections, H41H refers to vertical check valves, H44H denotes swing check valves, and H42H is also a vertical check valve. There are also butterfly type valves such as H74H, H76H, H77H, etc
