Polyurethane foam insulation pipes are made from reaction-cured polymer materials; their key feature is that two liquids react to form a foam insulation material at room temperature, making them particularly suitable for on-site molding. However, in the case of polyurethane foam insulation pipes, since the polymerization reaction takes place at the construction site, the quality of the foam is influenced not only by the quality of the raw materials but also, to a large extent, by factors such as the temperature of the construction environment, the ratio of the reactive components, the thickness of the insulation layer, as well as the technical skills of the construction equipment and workers. To obtain high-performance foam products and an optimal expansion rate, it is essential to strictly control the temperature of the working environment; the most suitable temperature for the foaming reaction is 20–25°C. Please try to carry out the process within this temperature range. Strict control is exercised over the ratio of black to white materials in polyurethane foam insulation pipes; the ratio of black material to white material is 1:1 for ordinary materials, while it is generally 1.5–2:1 for high-temperature materials.
Attention also needs to be paid to the operating temperature; we have used foam glass bricks at -60 degrees Celsius.
