Advanced processing technologies for coal tar must be quite complex; abroad, especially in developed countries, such technologies have reached a high level of sophistication. And domestically, there are still technical imperfections in this area ； Great efforts need to be made in research on technologies for the high-value processing of coal tar. I am posting this here in the hope of discussing with fellow experts in the industry the development trends, technological advancements, and current developments in the field of deep processing of coal tar in China. We have only conducted a preliminary study on this area; our company is interested in launching a large-scale tar refining project based on existing coke ovens. I think the refinement of tar imposes relatively strict requirements on its quality. It’s not just a matter of nailtoluene insolubles; it also relates to the components. The components determine the quality and value of the product. I hope everyone can discuss this together.
Weak basic research is a common problem in domestic manufacturing processes – people just copy what exists without making any significant progress. While foreign countries have advanced technologies, some of them are also of average quality. Look at the amount of coal tar produced in China compared to that produced abroad; do they still expect to rely on ready-made solutions? University research is rather impetuous; just look at how many graduate students those researchers have and what titles they use for them, and you’ll know what they’re up to

Hehe, the Germans are the pioneers in this field – during World War I and World War II, almost all the fuel used for tanks was derived from coal. It can be said that the Germans are still at the forefront in this area; however, in recent years there has been less research on related technologies. The L-R method and the Toscoal method can be considered relatively advanced methods, right?
