Help needed. Regarding cut-off ball valves

I have a shut-off valve here. Normally, the valve operates fine when opened and closed, but after an emergency evacuation, it sometimes fails to close. I’m not sure why this happens; I hope experienced experts can offer some advice: lol

What is the medium you evacuate? Are there any impurities in the form of solid particles? Is it not moving at all or not closed properly? I think the valve core (sphere) is damaged or stuck by some debris; taking it apart to check will clarify things. It’s best to have the gaskets for the valve components ready before disassembling it, otherwise you won’t be able to put it back together.
We deal in resins, and things have been going well here all along. This valve is a vent valve that is usually kept open. It seems that this issue only occurred once, after the drain opened automatically. According to the technical staff, it seems that turning it off has no effect; I didn’t notice any problem when I checked it

If there is a problem with a pneumatic ball valve, it is usually due to blockages in the air supply line or inside the valve itself. The situation described by the poster seems to be unrelated to the air supply line; if it is confirmed that the solenoid valve is working fine, then check whether there are any debris inside the cylinder that might prevent the piston from moving smoothly. Another possibility is that something is stuck inside the ball valve, and it will need to be disassembled and cleaned

Well, it’s indeed possible that it’s a problem with the valve body. Sigh, why can it be opened sometimes? You say the valve body is stuck; I tried turning it on and off several times and didn’t notice any signs of sticking, but I’m worried it might get stuck when needed. That’s going to be a big problem
