What should be the initial amount of sulfur sprayed during sulfuric acid production, and what proportion of full capacity does it represent?

Due to the low conversion rate in the initial stage, the exhaust emissions will be significantly excessive, which is also a waste of resources; therefore, it’s not appropriate to operate at full capacity from the start. Moreover, the temperature of the sulfur incineration furnace should not be increased too quickly.
I agree with what was said above: initially, control should be based on the requirements of each work section; once the system is operating properly, gradually adjust the amount of sulfur spraying until full capacity is reached
At the beginning of sulfur-based acid production, the amount of sulfur fed in should be more than 50% of full capacity; if misting is poor, it may be sufficient to use just one nozzles. Additionally, considerations must be given to the conditions of the facility, such as whether the heat exchange surface of the boiler is excessively large. 2. Is the valve on the boiler’s center tube large enough? 3. Whether the area of the cold-to-hot heat exchangers and hot-to-hot heat exchangers is sufficient, etc. In short, regarding the amount of sulfur injection at the beginning of operation, it should first ensure that the temperature of the flue gas exiting the boiler reaches or exceeds the temperature at the inlet of the first conversion section; simultaneously, it should enable the inlet temperature of the other conversion sections to reach the required level within 2–3 hours.
The amount of sulfurization agent to be used must first be considered in terms of the entire system. At the initial stage of sulfur spraying, if operation is carried out at half of full capacity from the start, not only will the conversion rate be low, but the exhaust gases will also not meet the required standards; furthermore, it will be difficult to operate the subsequent processes. It is recommended to start with 20% of full capacity, and gradually increase the amount of sulfur sprayed as conditions permit in terms of oxygen levels and in the subsequent processing stages, so as to achieve normal production
