Check the grease content in the oxygen main pipe of the empty separation zone, using a black light. Some scattered fluorescent spots were found on the inner wall of the pipe; most of them were small dot-like structures with very weak fluorescence. Some also have irregular shapes, such as short curly forms, which are suspected to be fine metal wires. No large fluorescent spots were detected, such as droplet-like or oil film-like ones. Wiped with filter paper; there was blackish-gray dust, but no grease was found. I would like to ask if anyone has made a similar observation – could those very faintly glowing dots be grease?
If it is detected before the first use, it is likely to be grease; if it is noticed during parking for maintenance, it is not necessarily grease – it could be spots caused by wear.
Replying to the forum owner: It’s a newly installed device. It is difficult to determine whether they are tiny metal particles or if these particles have an oil film on them; it’s hard to make a judgment based on ultraviolet light or wiping, as there are no larger fluorescent films, masses, or spots. If a quantitative analysis is to be conducted, it should meet the ASTM G93 or HG degreasing standards, or the requirements regarding oil content on equipment surfaces as specified in GB. I would like to ask everyone how to determine that there is no grease in the oxygen tube before driving, or whether the amount of grease is acceptable and meets the requirements for driving.
