The company produces compound fertilizers. What is the difference between the coating agents and coating oils used in compound fertilizers, and what are their respective functions? Who possesses this technology?
Oils are just one type of encapsulant; encapsulants include those for controlled release and anti-caking purposes, and they come in liquid, solid, or powder form.
I do know a little about technology; our company has this product.
Different manufacturers use different formulas, which results in varying compositions. Those of poor quality consist merely of amine-based anti-caking agents dissolved in mechanical oil, yielding very unsatisfactory results. High-quality products have a more complex composition, including various effective ingredients such as crystallization modifiers, moisture inhibitors, anti-powdering agents, lubricants, and anti-sticking agents; it is a mixture of these different components. A small amount of such product is sufficient to achieve good results. It generally ensures that compound fertilizers with a high content of moisture remain free from caking for up to six months, and it also works well even when the moisture content of chlorinated 15-15-15 compound fertilizers is 3.7.
