In the overall diagram, there are two specified distances for the placement of liquid ammonia storage tanks from the edge of areas where people gather: 50 meters for large liquid ammonia tanks and 25 meters for small ones. I would like to ask experts how to determine what constitutes a large liquid ammonia tank and what constitutes a small one
Typically, liquid hydrocarbons (liquid ammonia also falls under liquid hydrocarbons) have a tank volume of 50 to 100 cubic meters, which classifies them as small storage tanks; in such cases, the fire separation distance can be reduced by half.
