Using the pressure rating of the pipeline means the same thing.

The pressure rating of a flange is related to the design pressure, but they are not identical. It represents a strength series for flanges. The higher the pressure rating, the stronger it is. To be precise, given the materials, design temperature, and design pressure, we can use the temperature and pressure curves specified in the flange standards to select a pressure class for a certain type of pipeline in a process unit, and thereby determine the pressure classes for valves and other pipe fittings as well. Pressure ratings can be classified into European systems, American systems, etc., depending on the flange standard system, such as PN1.6, PN2.5, or CL150/PN2.0. When it comes to heat, some standards combine the two.
It has the same meaning as the pipe pressure rating, indicating the maximum pressure that can be tolerated; in some cases, the pressure rating of process flanges is one level higher than that of the pipes
