Polymerization reactors of the same model are used to produce products of the same type; one of these reactors has a pressure that is 0.1–0.15 MPa lower than that of the other reactors. The cause of this issue has not been identified yet, so please help analyze what might be the reasons.
Could you confirm: 1. Has the range of the local pressure gauge changed? 2. What about the accuracy of the pressure transmitter and the reliability of terminal connections? 3. Are there any leaks at the flanges and pipe connections? Check whether there are sand holes or cracks in welds, pipes, etc. 4. Thermometer accuracy (tested or not)? 5. Is there a possibility that the safety valve (or explosion-proof membrane) could be damaged? ) It needs to be confirmed. 6. Check other safety accessories for any leaks 7. Is the polymerization reactor equipped with a stirrer? If so, check whether the mechanical seal is reliable 8. Are there any internal leaks in the vessel valves and pipeline valves? Generally, there’s no problem with the kettle itself! It’s mainly the flanges connecting the reactors, as well as internal leaks in the solenoid valves and manual valves! These are the 3 main reasons for leaks in the pipes of friendly products: weld defects!

The suggestions from the above-mentioned friend were also very helpful to me. I have another hypothesis: my polymerization reactor is equipped with a cold water jacket, and the amount of cold water flowing in is controlled by adjusting the opening degree of a control valve. If there is a discrepancy between the actual opening degree of the valve (or internal leakage) and the desired opening degree, the amount of cold water flowing in will remain too high, which in turn leads to excessive removal of heat from the reaction. This could also affect the pressure.
I’m not sure whether you’re using a local meter or a remote transmitter meter; if it’s a remote transmitter meter, check to see if the upper and lower range settings are correct.
