How is the diameter of the circle indicating a pipe bend determined in a piping layout diagram? In general tutorial guidelines, it only specifies where to draw a circle, without specifying its size. Section 20519 states: \"Draw the pipes and the valves and fittings on them in proportion (including elbows, tees, flanges, etc.…)\" However, this is rather general; the specification applies to the length of the pipes. But as for the circles representing bends, should they be drawn according to the pipe diameter? How do people handle this at work? Don’t laugh at the fact that this issue seems minor – details determine success or failure
It’s not drawn according to the diameter; I use a uniform size for everything. The specific size varies depending on the drawing scale; for example, with a scale of 1:25, the diameter is 50, and the circle on the printed sheet is 2 mm in diameter, making it quite clear. If the circle is smaller than 1.5 mm, it will cause overlapping images when copying the blueprint, which is not good. It can’t be too large either; the spacing between pipes is fixed, and if the pipes are made thicker, the resulting circle will be too big and may lead to misunderstandings.
Thank you, but what do you mean by making the pipeline thicker? I think this circle should use a thin line consistently, rather than depending on the width of the pipeline’s line style.
