When using a differential pressure transmitter to measure liquid level, is it necessary to first fill the reference tube (the negative pressure side) with liquid before setting the zero point? Could someone provide a more detailed procedure for this? Thank you in advance
It depends on the situation; not all pressure guide tubes on the negative pressure side are filled with isolation fluid or condensate, unless the medium being measured is a substance that tends to condense or evaporate easily. In this case, the gauge can only function properly if it is filled with liquid in advance; otherwise, its readings will be too high. Of course, it is also a reality that the pressure guide tube on the negative pressure side is empty.

Are you talking about negative transfer? If the medium you are measuring tends to vaporize and form condensate, then negative migration is required. If there is no fluid accumulation in the negative pressure chamber, migration is not necessary.
