There is a KV differential pressure flow meter; the pressure difference gauge suddenly stopped showing readings. Upon inspection, the supply voltage was 18V, but it dropped to 5V once connected to the gauge, with a measured current of 10 milliamps. Can these data be used to determine that the gauge is damaged, or that there is a problem with the module inside it?
It’s abnormal when only 5V is available after connecting it to the meter; at this voltage level, the transmitter definitely cannot function properly. Try connecting a separate 24V supply to the transmitter to see if it works properly. If the transmitter is working properly, then it’s a problem with the secondary meter or the host computer. If the transmitter does not display anything even when powered by 24V separately, then it is definitely a fault with the transmitter. The original poster, give it a try
