The liquid accumulation zone of a double-shell and plate heat exchanger is the area between the two shell plates. What type of pressure test should be used? A hydraulic test or an ammonia leakage test?
The water pressure cannot be maintained; there isn’t enough water. If pumping is necessary, a buffer tank should be used. Ammonia leakage or helium testing is generally employed for detection purposes
