For pneumatic control valves, is the power supply for the valve transmitter the same as that for the positioner?

Yes, it should be an AI signal with 24VDC. It’s the same wire as that of ordinary pressure transmitters.
For the baffle on that heating furnace, the valve position transmitter is an AI point, while the positioner is an AO point. I would like to ask whether they are both fed into the SIS or the DCS ?

1. Valve position transmitter: two-wire active signal, outputs 4-20mA. 2. Positioner with valve position feedback: the valve position sensing unit is also an independent two-wire active signal. As an analog signal, the valve position signal is rarely used as a interlock condition in SIS; it is usually utilized in DCS as a reference for displaying valve position changes.
It’s not a two-wire system for the entire length; it’s a transmitter with separate power supply lines.
