What are the requirements regarding the location where the bearing code is marked on the bearing?

I’ve seen bearing codes printed on both the inner and outer rings of bearings～But today, I saw a set of bearings 6208-2Z/P4 (NSK), where the 6208-2Z code was printed on the dust seal (this is the case for NSK as well as Japanese brands)； But its P4 marking is on the outer surface (the outer limit surface); I searched for a long time without finding it, and it was my colleague who found it. I was very puzzled – the bearing codes I had seen before were all printed in one row, so how could this one be separated? ! I hope the experts in the group can provide an explanation; thank you very much! (Is it because I’m ignorant, or are there other special circumstances?) ）

It should be the precision grade; it’s usually marked on the outer ring, so there shouldn’t be any problems. However, the bearing market is chaotic at the moment, and it’s possible to end up with fake products, which could lead to such issues.
One more question: What is the approximate price of bearing 6308-2RS/P5? ? Thanks for the help!
Reply to 4# chshg: 6308 might cost around 80 yuan each. I’m not entirely sure; the ones we bought cost 80. They’re from a petrochemical company, haha
