What knowledge is needed to work in the chemical industry?

I’m still a graduate student, working on catalysts. I would like to ask the engineers here: what knowledge is useful for future work these days? For example, CAD, Aspen software, or learning English – what skills do companies value more when it comes to employment?
First, become proficient in using CAD – it is the most basic and widely used tool among engineers around the world
English is important, but it’s necessary to know what’s primary and what’s secondary. If you have strong professional skills, it’s okay if your English isn’t great; but if you’re good at English, that’s even better； The professional skills are not strong; even if one’s English is good, it won’t get them very far. Apart from translation, English is just a tool. Things like software are actually also tools. For those working in the chemical industry, a thorough understanding of chemical principles is definitely useful.
Understanding the principles of chemical engineering, physical chemistry, and chemical reaction kinetics thoroughly will make it easy to get started in any field within chemical engineering.
