The selection of a pressure gauge for the pump outlet is primarily determined by the physical and chemical properties of the medium. Physical properties include viscosity, tendency to crystallize (or cause blockages), temperature, pressure, etc.; these factors directly determine the type of connection for the pressure gauge, such as whether to use flange connections or threaded connections, as well as whether to opt for a diaphragm pressure gauge or an isolation tank. Chemical properties include the corrosivity of the medium and other characteristics, which primarily influence the choice of material for pressure gauges; for example, copper is prohibited in acetylene systems, while membranes made of corrosion-resistant materials are required for hydrogen chloride environments.
As a pressure gauge for the pump outlet, as the original poster said, the most important aspect is vibration prevention. As for other elements such as the medium, etc., the requirements are the same as those for before the pump and throughout the entire pipeline.
To build on what was said on the 3rd floor, the composition of the medium is also very important; especially for materials containing solid particles, erosion is significant. When considering corrosion issues, it is also necessary to take into account erosion resistance.
