There is a 5mm protrusion at the weld of the pipe elbow of the device; once it is confirmed that the welding is defective, how should this be dealt with? (The actual elbow diameter is larger than the pipe diameter)
Replacing the elbow. When the material plan was submitted, the specifications weren’t clearly specified!
If it needs to be planed and rewelded, return any purchased parts; if it can still be used, just make do with it
It depends on the size; if it’s small, use a grinder to cut it open, polish it, and then weld it again; If it is large, use gas cutting to separate it, then grind it and weld it again.
I think it’s better to polish it first and then weld it again. . . To avoid any problems
The slight excess of the weld can be ground down to the appropriate weld height; if it does not meet the requirements, it should be cut or planed using a grinder and rewelded. When rewelding, the edges of the elbow can be ground with a grinder to create a smooth transition angle, thereby preventing misalignment and sudden changes in weld height after welding.
The pipe diameter series numbers can be mixed, allowing for groove welding.
The diameter of the elbow is roughly equal to that of the pipe, so that definitely won’t work. I’m not sure what processing method you’re using; posting this here means it certainly isn’t 2 kilograms of water. If it is 2 kilograms of water, then you’ll have to make do with it

I think the welding failure was likely caused by an excessive weld bead height; grinding the weld bead height to the standard requirement should resolve the issue.
