According to Clause 1.3, Note 1-4 of the new regulations: When the medium inside the container is a liquid whose maximum operating temperature is below its standard boiling point, this regulation also applies if the product of the volume of the gas space and the operating pressure is greater than or equal to 2.5 MPa·L. Since the original poster says the gas phase space meets the requirements, then classify it as one category

This post was last edited by chihongjun on 2010-10-19 09:54. Take a look – does clause 4 of section 1.4.1 of the regulations apply to your tank in a similar manner? If so, it should be classified as Category I according to Appendix A 1.3.5.
Air pressure tanks also need to be classified, right?
If the product of pressure and volume in the gas phase space is greater than or equal to 2.5 MPa·L, it should be considered a pressure vessel.
