Drug name: Lipanth; English name: Lipanthgl; Alternative names: Lipanth； Fenofibrate, Lipanthyl; phenylpropionic acid lipid-lowering ester; isopropyl lipid-lowering ester; prulifent, benzoylpropionic acid lipid-lowering ester, Lipidil. Foreign names: Fenofibrate, Lipanthyl. Pharmacological action: This drug significantly reduces the levels of serum triglycerides, very low-density lipoprotein, cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein, and apolipoprotein-B. It also increases the levels of high-density lipoprotein, apolipoprotein-A1, and the ratio of apolipoprotein-A to apolipoprotein-B; its effect is stronger than that of clofibrate. Intra-body processes: After oral administration, it is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, reaching its peak level in 4–6 hours. It is metabolized in the liver; within 24 hours, most of it is excreted in the urine and feces as metabolites, with only a small amount excreted in its original form. The half-life is approximately 22–26 hours. Ingredients: Fenofibrate. Indications: Hypercholesterolemia and/or hypertriglyceridemia in adults for whom dietary control therapy is insufficient. Dosage and administration: (1) Microencapsulated capsules: 200 mg once daily, taken with meals. Standardized capsules: 100 mg tid or 300 mg qd. The maintenance dose is 100 mg twice daily, or 200 mg of the micronized capsules once daily. ⑵Oral administration: 300 mg per day, which can be taken as 100 mg after breakfast and 200 mg after dinner, or as 300 mg all at once after dinner. Generally, significant effects are seen after about 10 days of taking the medication, and blood lipid levels return to normal within about 2 weeks (about 4 weeks in severe cases). Thereafter, with a combination of diet and exercise, the maintenance dose is 100–200 mg per day. 5 mg per kilogram for children. Contraindications: Patients with liver or kidney dysfunction, children, and pregnant women.
