Can the flow rate of a reciprocating compressor be controlled using an inlet valve in order to reduce the energy waste resulting from flow returning from the outlet to the inlet? Are there any relevant methods for doing this?
The flow rate of the compressor is adjusted using the inlet control valve, which generally comes in settings for 0 load, 25% load, 50% load, 75% load, and 100% load.

The inlet valve cannot be used to regulate flow. Reasons: 1. Long-term use will cause damage to the inlet valve, affecting normal maintenance; 2. The adjustment is imprecise, difficult to perform, and not conducive to stable operation. For energy savings, stepless adjustment can be considered; it offers good energy efficiency and excellent operational performance.
