According to Article 5 of the Rules for the Registration, Record-keeping, and Use Management of Special Equipment: 2. “Major repair” refers to repair work that requires the disassembly or replacement of the main structural components under stress; it also includes comprehensive repairs to the mechanism (transmission system) or control system. However, the performance parameters and technical specifications of the special equipment shall not change after such major repairs. 3. “Modification” refers to the process of altering the stress structure, mechanisms (transmission systems), or control systems of original special equipment, thereby causing changes in the performance parameters and technical specifications of such equipment.
