A client from a pharmaceutical factory plans to modify a fan so that it is driven by a turbine; however, the steam parameters in their plant are an inlet pressure of 6 kilograms and a temperature of 240 degrees, with a required exhaust pressure of 4.5–5 kilograms for production use. I would like to ask the experienced colleagues: can a pressure difference of 1 kilogram be used to drive a steam turbine? If possible, what maximum power can it achieve?
Back-pressure type presents difficulties; could a suction-back type be considered?

Our original plan was to replace the motor with a double-extend shaft, one end of which would be connected to the fan and the other end to the steam turbine. With such steam parameters, it would be possible to determine the maximum power that the steam turbine could achieve, with the motor then providing the remaining power needed for operation. However, based on these steam parameters, it’s not possible to determine the power output of the steam turbine at present. Therefore, we kindly ask for the advice of those with more experience! Please first confirm what the fan power and steam flow rate are, before discussing whether it is necessary. In my opinion, the pressure difference is too low, making it unsuitable to install a turbine
