http://www.shxcoal.com/mhg_content.jsp?xwid=5276 On October 19, more good news came regarding Shaanxi Coking Chemical Company’s 200,000-ton methanol project. With the ignition of a flame, Boiler No. 3 at the methanol plant of Shanxi Coking Chemical Company was successfully started up for heating, marking that the methanol system, one of Shanxi Coking’s two major projects, is about to enter the trial production phase. The company’s leaders, Zhao Xinping, Li Yanglin, He Lixin, along with relevant department staff, attended the boiler lighting and heating-up ceremony at the methanol plant. The boiler system of the methanol plant at Shanxi Coking Company consists of 3 large-scale boilers, each with a capacity of 75 tons. It utilizes the relatively advanced circulating fluidized bed technology available in China, and features low energy consumption, high steam output, as well as low requirements regarding the quality of the fuel coal. Once completed, this system will supply production steam to the methanol plant and the 2-million-ton coking system. Zhao Xinping, chairman of Shaanxi Coking Chemical Company, emphasized during the boiler ignition at the methanol plant that after more than a year of construction, the boiler system was successfully ignited today. The methanol plant must, while ensuring safety, organize the equipment commissioning work for the project in an orderly manner and carry out all tasks thoroughly to ensure its safe operation. Other relevant leaders put forward requirements regarding furnace heating preparations and safety measures, stating that the staff at the methanol plant should, while taking proper safety precautions, carefully inspect the valves in all systems. The furnace heating and commissioning team should actively coordinate with the construction party to ensure the safe operation of the boiler system, thereby laying a solid foundation for the smooth trial production of the methanol plant.
