The formula is listed above: =2.08×10-2. Please explain it. I’ll put it plainly–it’s ppm based on weight (wt); ppm means one part per million.
wt: weight; ppm: parts per million. When calculating the mass fraction, it is expressed in parts per million, for example, 5wtppm means a mass fraction of five parts per million
wtppm refers to ppm on a weight basis, meaning that all components involved in the comparison are expressed in units of weight or mass. Corresponding to this is the ppm on a volume basis; the component used for comparison is based on volume, and it is generally applied to gases, with little use in liquids or solids. Due to differences in density and molecular weight, the weight ratio and volume ratio generally differ significantly in value, especially for components with a large impact from molecular weight.
It is ppm based on weight (wt)
