The era when college students were highly sought after is long gone. Once people thought that going to college would lead to great things, but in reality, college merely provides opportunities; those with money use it to enhance their status, while those from rural areas have few options. Social resources are limited, and most of them have already been taken. After several years in college, how much of those naive ideals are left? It’s truly tragic – what’s the point of studying all those books? Higher education is extremely expensive, yet graduates still end up with no money.
University students are indeed worthless, but at least having a university education gives one far more opportunities than not having one. That old era is over; in the future, without a degree, one won’t even be able to pass the first hurdle – so what else can one do? Those with money and power at home can do whatever they want; those without such advantages need to have an education, at least so that they can find a somewhat stable job and lead a modest life. What else can they do? They have no choice but to become vagrants……
Ability determines everything, but without a diploma it’s impossible to get in; even cleaners these days need to have a higher education degree – knowledge is no longer valuable
