Due to the large number of pressure gauges in our company and their relatively low cost, the managers in various workshops do not pay much attention to their daily maintenance, which makes it difficult to manage them properly. For example, improper handling during the installation and removal of pressure gauges often leads to damage to these devices, increasing the workload required for repairs. How do people deal with such situations that are difficult to supervise? Is there any good way?
All measuring instruments in our company are under the unified management of the Measurement Room; only two people are responsible for handling pressure gauges
Even simply installing or removing a pressure gauge can cause damage; it’s really a problem. It is recommended that improving the operator’s skill level be the best approach!
Improper handling during disassembly and assembly can cause damage to the pressure gauge; for example, turning it by hand can deform it, and placing it in a plastic bag during testing and subjecting it to shocks can also lead to damage. It’s not just the technical skills required; in my opinion, work attitude and effective supervision systems are what truly matter! The problem now is that the operators know what to do, but they are too lazy to do it; it’s difficult to deal with this without a viable supervision system! It’s difficult to supervise the disassembly and assembly of 3,000 tables.
Pressure gauges are generally replaced when they break – in some cases, they’re even taken apart and not reinstalled~
