When using the OCT-MD process for the hydrogenation of catalytic cracking gasoline, in addition to pre-distillation and the use of high-performance catalysts, what other measures and procedures can be employed to reduce octane number loss? Another point is to control the temperature rise of the bed layer properly; ensuring satisfactory desulfurization results, the bed layer temperature should not be allowed to get too high.
1. Control the reaction temperature. 2. Control the temperature rise in the bed. 3. Increase the gas volume space velocity. 4. Reduce the hydrogen-to-oil ratio and control the recycle hydrogen. 5. Control the reaction pressure and lower the operating pressure for the reaction
Control the content of dienes; it is best not to let it exceed 0.5%, as otherwise coking will occur rapidly, leading to reduced efficiency and activity. This in turn raises the reaction temperature and results in increased RON loss!
Please share your opinions on the desulfurization level of such catalytic cracking gasoline – is there any potential for its industrial application? It is used to treat catalytic cracking gasoline with a sulfur content of 600 ppm and an olefin content of 40%; after treatment, the sulfur content drops to 23 ppm.
