When selecting the installation method for the pressure transmitter’s piping, it can be seen that the pressure ratings specified in the automation installation manuals are quite high, mostly above PN2.5, and there are also various welding methods available. However, the pressure range required for this project is very small, close to atmospheric pressure. So how should a choice be made? Should one opt for a lower pressure rating that is closest to this value? Are there any other explanations? ; Also, I’m not quite clear about the differences between gas measurement and steam measurement installations. Could someone please give some advice? Thank you!
For low pressure applications, a bayonet type can be used, which facilitates disassembly. High-pressure applications generally use welding, with butt welding being the best option.
For steam measurement, pressure transduction is generally used; when installing it, the main considerations are the length of the pressure transduction pipeline as well as the need to install a seal. For gas measurement, it depends on its state at room temperature; if it is a gas at room temperature, it can be measured directly (taking into account whether it is corrosive or not). If it is a liquid at room temperature, the measurement process is similar to that for steam. This is my personal opinion; if there are any omissions, I hope the more experienced colleagues can point them out.
