Rotary flow meters are recommended to be installed in vertical pipes, with the fluid flowing from bottom to top. 3. It is best to install electromagnetic flowmeters in vertical pipes to ensure full flow within the pipe, from bottom to top. 4. Vortex flowmeters work for all of them. But a full pipe of fluid is required. 5. Ultrasonic flowmeters have no limitations. 5. Volume and turbine flowmeters can be used in both vertical and horizontal pipes. 6.
