Our plant is a sulfur-based acid production facility, and the position of the sulfur melting unit is located upwind of our control room. During the sulfur melting process, a large amount of smoke and fumes float around our production site and control room. At first, there was no impact, but now it has been found that smoke causes severe damage to the circuit boards. In particular, accessories such as computer hard drives and network cards. Since this issue does not occur in the other units, it is suspected that it is caused by the fumes generated during sulfur melting; therefore, I would like to see what the situation is in your sulfur production workshop and how it is handled there. Gases composed of those elements are primarily produced when sulfur is in a melted state ; Is it caused by hydrogen sulfide in sulfur, which reacts with the copper in copper circuit boards? ; How does your plant handle sulfur-dioxide-containing flue gas? In its melted state, sulfur primarily produces sulfur vapor and releases dissolved H2S, which can react with metals such as copper, zinc, and silver. The chemical washing you mentioned is usually not used, but enclosed production can be considered, with the waste gases being fed into an incinerator.
