Is a magnetic pump suitable for low-temperature liquids? Does it have an impact on the pump’s performance and lifespan?
Is liquefied gas considered a low-temperature gas? We use magnetic pumps for the liquefied gas pump in our equipment

Reply to 1# li*n182: Temperature is not an issue; as long as the internal magnetic rotor system of the pump can achieve good self-lubrication, this can be determined based on the viscosity, freezing point, saturated vapor pressure, and flow properties of the medium at the operating temperature and pressure. Otherwise, the pump cannot be used.

There’s no problem; non-metallic magnetic pumps can handle materials at -20°C, while metallic ones can handle even lower temperatures, but it’s necessary to clarify with the manufacturer that it is a low-temperature pump, and care must be taken to control the net positive suction head.
