What are the conditions for catalytic reforming at the time of initial operation? In other words, what conditions must be met and what precautions should be taken when combining oil and hydrogen and feeding them into the reactor? I would appreciate your advice!
I don’t understand what it means. The hydrogen had already been heated to 370 degrees before the oil was introduced; naturally, the oil and hydrogen mixed together in the reactor. So, once oil enters, it mixes with hydrogen gas; what could be worse than that without hydrogen in the oil? Conditions for oil inlet: 1. The reaction pressure should be stabilized at the operating parameters. 2. The purity of hydrogen must meet the required standards; it seems that hydrogen produced through hydrogen production is generally used for this purpose. 3. The reformation feed parameters must meet the requirements. 4. The amount of circulating hydrogen must be sufficient. 5. Others (such as process flow, equipment integrity, sulfur and chlorine injection, blind plate instruments, etc.)
1. The reaction temperature is between 370–400°C. 2. The raw materials are of qualified quality. 3. The recontact and distillation units are operating properly. 4. There are no issues with the pathway for the produced oil. 5. The air cooling system in A-201 is functioning normally. 6. The pump used for filling the high-pressure tank is in standby mode, ready to be used at any time. 7. One of the inlet filters for the pump in the high-pressure tank is not installed. 8. Someone is always monitoring the liquid level in the high-pressure tank’s level gauge, and the gauge is accurate! I hope someone can add more!
The pretreatment process is operating normally; the refined oil meets the feed requirements (with acceptable levels of sulfur, nitrogen, water, heavy metals, etc.). The circulator and heater are functioning properly, the temperature of the reactor bed is 370°C, the pressure in the gas-liquid separation tank for continuous reforming is 0.24 MPa, and the subsequent processes are unobstructed
The hydrogen used for reforming circulates to raise the temperature; oil is simply fed in at a certain pressure
Are the start-up conditions confirmed? Check the UOP operation guidelines and then adapt them according to the characteristics of your own equipment.
