Dear sea friends, how does your organization handle the ammonia generated by acidic water stripping in the sulfur recovery unit? Is there any equipment for producing high-purity ammonia that has been used to successfully manufacture qualified liquid ammonia? Liquid ammonia with NH3 content greater than 99.6%

The process of producing liquid ammonia through the purification of gaseous ammonia is highly mature! Our company produces liquid ammonia with a purity of 99.6%. In simple terms, the refinement process involves removing trace amounts of sulfides from gaseous ammonia; after that, deionized water is used for absorption. Once the concentration reaches a certain level, distillation takes place, and after two stages of cooling at the top of the tower, liquid ammonia can be produced.
We are able to produce high-quality liquid ammonia. Most of our liquid ammonia is used for our own needs, but it can also be sold if there is demand. Our factory needs gaseous ammonia to produce ammonia water for internal use; any excess can be sold. The approach can be adjusted according to the specific conditions of our factory
Our facility introduces ammonia-containing gases directly into the sulfur production furnace for combustion, but we are considering installing an ammonia purification unit. But considering the cost factor, it’s not an option; its ammonia content isn’t too high, yet it’s too high for sulfur recovery processes. In the end, it went into the furnace anyway. It’s not worth installing a trap just for such a small amount of gas. Active participation
