Do you know what gas is in the acidic water zone now? Is it liquefied gas? Is the level control for the stabilizer overhead reflux tank in your catalytic unit automatic? If there is oil present, it is a problem with the gas-liquid separation tank at the top of the fractionation tower and the liquid separation tank at the outlet of the compressor. If there is gas present, then the liquefied gas results from excessive dehydration in the reflux tank at the top of the stabilizer. In the case of oil and gas, it might be due to the rich gas entering the acidic water during the washing process; check whether the acidic water pump is stopped or not operating properly.
