Drain temperature of thermostatic bimetallic steam trap

Does a thermostatic bimetallic steam trap require a drainage temperature setting? The diagram provided by the manufacturer shows Δt as the set temperature minus the actual temperature at which the valve discharges water; I’m not sure what this means. Thank you
Bimetallic steam traps are those that allow for the adjustment of the subcooling degree of the steam trap; the formula you provided should represent the error between the set value and the actual value, right?
