I’ve been having a poor memory lately; things I put down somewhere can’t be found when I try to retrieve them, and issues that come to mind are forgotten the moment it’s time to act on them. It’s scary to experience such things at a young age. I asked my colleagues (who are also designers) if they’ve encountered similar problems – could it be that I’m developing dementia earlier than usual?
Just like you, I can’t remember things; I’m getting old
Exercise more, get enough rest, stay relaxed, and try to drink less alcohol!
I think a fairly effective method is: when the brain feels tired while working, use both hands to form a comb shape and comb from the forehead all the way down to the neck, running the comb over the cerebral cortex several times. Do not use too much force, and keep your nails short to avoid scratching the scalp. Stop when the scalp starts to feel warm; this usually takes about 30 seconds, depending on the individual. This promotes blood circulation in the brain, which is beneficial for memory and helping to relax the brain. Personal suggestions are for reference only.
This post was last edited by *aquan on 2010-11-1 16:43. I used to have a poor memory; while others could do well in exams after just two days of studying, I couldn’t do as well. I always thought I was sick, but no problems were found upon going to the hospital. Later, I met a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner who took my pulse and said that it was due to kidney deficiency, caused by stress or low mood; I needed to take traditional Chinese medicine to replenish my kidneys. I didn’t really believe it at first, so I just took some of it casually; yet the effect was immediate – my mind became clear right away. I guess what you have is kidney deficiency; go see a traditional Chinese medicine doctor nearby. There are good traditional Chinese medicine practitioners in hospitals, but many of them are scammers
If it’s in Tianjin, I can recommend that traditional Chinese medicine doctor to you; but I can’t help with that if it’s in another place. Ask around locally to see if there are any good traditional Chinese medicine practitioners
Reply 6# *aquan brother? Where in Tianjin? Should I recommend a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner? Don’t I feel the same as mentioned above? Thank you
People who are not from design fields can experience this as well; it may be caused by burnout. Thinking back to the beginning, when I could remember every detail of everything so clearly, I’m still impressed with myself today. One can engage in stress-reducing activities such as traveling or taking a break, to change one’s mood and perspective and regain that sense of freshness and novelty toward work.
:D: Yes, it’s senile dementia; medication is needed. Remember to take two brain-boosting pills before going out every day :lol
Hehe, I’d like to thank everyone for their attention here. I guess it’s due to the stress and lack of sleep; from now on I need to make an effort to go to bed early and get up early, as well as adjust my diet to see how that works. Thanks!
Me too. . A bit neurotic. . . High stress and low mood can easily lead to a decline in memory. . .
