Responsibilities of the Automatic Control Supervisor

1 Construction Period1.1 Work together with the design institute and automation equipment suppliers to complete the selection and design of instruments and meters, as well as the planning for the control system.
1.2 Review and make changes to the construction drawings for the instruments and meters.
1.3 Supervise the construction of the instrument control project and manage it technically; oversee the project’s progress and quality, and resolve any technical issues that arise during construction.
1.4 Conduct individual testing of the instruments and joint testing of the control system; ensure the proper operation of the equipment once it is put into use.
1.5 Provide technical support to the procurement department, and work together with them to handle the purchase and acceptance of instruments and automation equipment.
1.6 Establish an instrument automation team, which includes recruiting instrument technicians, selecting and purchasing maintenance and calibration equipment, and setting up an instrument calibration laboratory.
1.7 Train instrument operators and provide them with technical guidance.
1.8 Develop operating procedures for instruments and control systems (i.e., SOPs), as well as create and manage other technical documents related to instruments. Also responsible for troubleshooting issues with instruments and control systems, as well as carrying out routine maintenance tasks.
2 Operational Period
2.1 Provide plans for system upgrades and renovations, including designing solutions for updating the automatic control system, creating relevant drawings, and handling technical aspects such as the selection of materials needed for the project. Also responsible for providing technical guidance at the construction site and overseeing the completion of the project. 2.2 Technical upgrades and improvements to instrumentation and control systems, configuration and programming of DCS and PLC systems, optimization of the manufacturing process. 2.3 Provision of technical services for routine maintenance, as well as participation in the daily repair work of automatic control systems; offering solutions to the challenges encountered during such repairs, and working together with instrument technicians to resolve these issues. 2.4 Supervise and participate in the periodic inspections of control systems, establish and maintain records of instruments and meters, and arrange for mandatory calibration of important instruments. 2.5 Control the inventory level of spare parts for control instruments, and formulate and implement plans for these spare parts as well as for instrument maintenance.
