Pucheng Clean Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. is a joint venture between Shaanxi Coal Group and the Three Gorges Project, with Shaanxi Coal Group holding the controlling stake. The first phase of the project involves an investment of 16.7 billion yuan, for the production of 1.8 million tons of methanol and 700,000 tons of DMTO; the total investment for the entire project is planned to be 60 billion yuan. The office building and apartment building are expected to be put into use by the end of the year (although it may not be possible to complete this).
