The same amount of gas enters a reciprocating compressor as exits it; therefore, an inlet valve is used to control the outlet pressure. . A reciprocating compressor is a positive-displacement machine, and that is why it is adjusted in this way

Can the inlet pressure determine the outlet pressure? The outlet pressure depends on the back pressure, right (as long as the compressor’s capacity permits it); it is the inlet pressure that controls the flow rate.
I agree with what was said on floor 8: for reciprocating compressors, the exhaust pressure depends on the back pressure. Under the same conditions, a decrease in inlet pressure results in a decrease in exhaust volume, while an increase in inlet pressure leads to an increase in exhaust volume.
The outlet pressure is determined by the system backpressure; the inlet valve is used primarily to regulate the compressor flow rate, not to control the outlet pressure!
